“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”

Albert Einstein

Recently, and in the past, I have read a lot about people who become more successful due to how they asked stronger phrased questions. If you can ask a better question, you can get a better answer or solution. This was interesting to me, but it made me think for any problem that I may have had in the past, what if I just asked a question instead of made an issue of it?

For example, let’s say we have a deadline for something due at the end of the week. We normally say, “damn, I will have a hard time getting this done on-time,” instead of asking “how can I get this finished in 2 days no matter what?” These type of questions can reframe our minds to think very collectively. Simply shifting how we approach a problem by stating it into a solution-able question gives us a better advantage and brings us closer to an answer.

Life is easier when questions become the way in which we approach everything. I can completely attest to this. It is not about saying “how can I do this” or “what can I do,” it is about asking “how do I make this work in light of everything else?” I am extremely happy to be able to put this down on paper and share how powerful questioning everything can be in our lives.

In your relationship, life, career, business or school, questions can promote much higher-level thinking. You just need to ask better questions, and if you don’t get the answer that you need, ask it differently. Our minds are machines. It is just like entering something into a computer. The computer will spit something back based on what you feed it. Feed the computer(your mind) a good question it will spit back a good answer. Feed the computer(your mind) terrible questions, comments or concerns, it will feed back negatively.

We have to realize that questions will eventually get us to the answer that we want. Questions raise our thinking to figure out a better answer. Go check out my other recent article Find Your Why | Seven Layers Method to see what questioning can do for your why in life. You finally realize the impact of questioning only when you go seven layers deep into your questioning, read that article to better understand what I am trying to articulate. It is only when we stop asking ourselves questions that we stop receiving the answers that we need or want.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Like children, their lives are filled with questions that either get answered or stay unanswered. From children, we can learn that children question everything because they are trying to learn as much as possible at a young age. They don’t realize why they ask questions and possibly even notice they are asking so many questions, but it just becomes a way for young people to learn about conscious life. Questions are what makes us realize our potential or lack thereof. Questioning also helps us to learn more about the world we live in and what we are capable of.

For the next 24 hours..

Try to take a step back from any problems, issues or concerns that you have in your daily life. For these 24 hours, question everything in a powerful way. If you didn’t study for a test, don’t say “how can I still pass?” Instead, ask “how or what are the most important things I should focus on?” In your relationship, if you are facing a complication, don’t just ask “how can I fix this?” ask yourself “what promoted this to happen and how can I make this workout in my favor?” In your workplace, if you have a project due but can’t seem to figure out a solution to a problem, don’t just ask “how can I solve this?” ask “what do I need to do or who should I ask that would know how to do this?” You get my point. Try it for 24 hours! You will not be disappointed.
