We are in our third week of the new year, and it is my hope that you’ve set your leadership vision, and as a result you are experiencing a level of peace and joy like never before. I began this New Year witnessing the highest expression of intention and love as I witnessed one of my best friends say “I Do!” Their commitment reminded me of the commitment that I intend to have throughout the year.

Are you committed to your leadership?

Are you committed to your goals?

Ceremoniously we confirm or abandon our goals on a daily basis. Three often forgotten, yet necessary methods for you to remain committed to your leadership and accomplish your goals throughout this year are: clear intention, strategic alignment and passionate choice. Let’s dive in!

CLEAR INTENTION — As Wayne Dyer says, our intentions create our reality. In addition to knowing what you want, and what’s worthy of your energy- you must also give yourself permission to affirm this truth on a daily basis, and in relevant ways that work. Consider, WHY your goal is important, WHY this level of focus/energy is necessary for this moment, and WHY you are worthy of the result(s). Your intentions are layered, so having clarity on what AND how you intend to accomplish your goal is vital to your experience along the way. As always, here is an example of my intentions and accompanying affirmations for the year that will help me manifest my leadership vision goals.

STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT — Strategic Alignment is a harmonious connection between your thoughts, actions and goals. It is a result of intentional and passionate planning. Contrary to what it may feel like at times, it is not a competition between your needs, wants, values and goals. When you notice that you are having to shift your focus, welcome the change. When you adjust your priorities ( while still be in tune with your goal), it is done in an effort to help you make it to the finish line. Choosing to align yourself in this way reduces stress, minimizes anxiety and allows you to be gentle with yourself. As my sister taught me — it doesn’t have to be a battle. When you would normally just “go with the flow,” you are now able to create the flow one choice, and one thought at a time.

PASSIONATE CHOICE — Every decision that we make either takes us further away or pushes us closer to accomplishing our goals. Choose wisely. Being selective and intentional does not mean that you are so structured that you are unable to make time for learning, growing or even surprise. It is instead saying “no” and “yes” appropriately — knowing that the each sacrifice or indulgence is necessary for you to succeed. Lastly, it is enjoying yourself along the way, knowing that your goal is a part of a journey — so choice by choice, put your heart into it and make it happen captain!

With these three, you are definitely equipped to accomplish your BIG goals. And yes, challenges will come. Opposed to fearfully giving up prematurely or accepting a smaller goal, you can instead re-align yourself, make better decisions, and confirm your intentions. Remember, it’s never too late to believe again so make the intentional choice today and let’s #BeLeadGrow!
